Thad Bingel

Thad Bingel is a Command Consulting Group founding partner and an expert in border management, public safety, and port and maritime issues. Mr. Bingel also manages Command's operations division and oversees the firm’s Business Advisory and Security Advisory and Management practices. Most recently in government, Mr. Bingel was Chief of Staff at US Customs and Border Protection. In this capacity, he was the second ranking political appointee at CBP where he served as part of the executive leadership team and as a principal adviser to Commissioner W. Ralph Basham. Mr. Bingel worked with CBP leadership in the day to day operations and management of the agency and was responsible for the agency's interactions with the White House, DHS headquarters, Congress, state and local governments, and the press. Earlier in his career, Mr. Bingel served as Assistant Commissioner for the Office of Congressional Affairs at CBP and as Majority Counsel with the US House Judiciary Committee in Congress.
