John Ely is a 35-year veteran of the federal contracting environment with experience in the US Department of Defense, US Department of Homeland Security, and US Customs and Border Protection. He advises CCG’s business advisory clients on a range of contracting and procurement issues, utilizing his experience as the Chief Procurement Officer at CBP, a Senior Procurement Official at the Internal Revenue Service, and a contracts official at the US Department of Defense. Mr. Ely’s expertise spans diverse federal sectors and is of particular note in the areas of IT systems acquisition, services acquisition, contract capture, and successful contract performance.
