Dr. William Lang

Dr. William Lang is one of world’s foremost experts on medical contingency planning and public health responses to biological incidents including both pandemic and bio-terrorism events. In government, he served as Associate Chief Medical Officer at the US Department of Homeland Security, where he played a key role in developing the nationwide preparedness and planning strategies for pandemic and bioterrorism incidents. Previously, Dr. Lang served as Director and Chief Operating Officer of the White House Medical Unit and as Deputy Physician to the President of the United States, roles that encompassed comprehensive healthcare and medical planning for the President, Vice President, their families, and all support personnel.
